Steps

Put the flour in a bowl. mix sugar salt and 1/2 a litre of water.

Add oil in the flour and mix. then add water and start to knead the dough with your thumbs to get the perfect result.

Knead to form a soft dough.

Put the dough in a bowl allow to rest for 20 minutes.

After 20-30 minutes divide the dough to 5 to 6 pieces.

Take one dough one by one and roll it on a flat surface, it doesnt have to be perfect. apply oil ontop in everyside. then start to fold from one edge to the other to form a rope like dough.

Fold from one side to another to form a ball like dough.

Do this for the rest of the doughs.

Start to roll the dough again into circular shape. This time it has formed layers so it is ready to be cooked.

Heat the pan and spread oil on top of the chapati. Then start frying the until golden brown.

Cook both sides. do this for all the remaing chapati.

Serve after 10 minutes while still hot.
