Ingredients

  • 3 lbsboneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1navel orange (halved. One half reserved one half sliced)
  • 1/3 cupapple juice
  • to taste Cumin
  • to taste Garlic powder
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 3bay leaves
  • 4 tbspolive oil (divided)

Steps

  1. 1

    Pour apple juice into slow cooker and place chicken breasts.

  2. 2

    Season chicken with cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Place sliced oranges on top. Squeeze remaining orange over chicken.

  3. 3

    Cover and cook on high for 3 hours. After 3 hours, remove chicken and remove bay leaves and orange slices. Shred and return to cooker mixing with juices. Cook on high another hour.

  4. 4

    Set broiler to high. Place chicken on baking sheet and drizzle with 2 tbsp olive oil. Broil for 5 minutes.

  5. 5

    Remove and drizzle with remaining 2 tbsp olive oil and broil another 5 minutes.

  6. 6

    Remove and serve on flour or corn tortillas with your favorite fixings. Enjoy!
