Heat oil in a non-stick pan and sauté garlic. Add in Jalapeño after 2-3 minutes.

Add in salt and pimenton, simmer for 2 minutes before adding in the shrimps.

Wait for the shrimps to cook/to turn orange. Remove shrimps from the sauce and set aside. Simmer and reduce sauce mixture for about 5 minutes.

Once sauce has reduced, add in sugar and mix well. Simmer for another minute before putting the cooked shrimps back in. Cook for about 2-3 minutes under medium to high heat.

Serve hot. This is best paired with toasted ciabatta, toasted pita bread or plain rice, whichever you prefer.. :)
