  1. 16 ozFava Bean can
  2. 3 tbspolive oil, extra virgin
  3. 1/2 cupwater
  4. 1 tspblack pepper
  5. 1 tsppaprika powder
  6. 1 tspground cumin
  7. 1 tspgarlic powder
  8. 1 tsponion powder
  9. 1 tsporegano

Steps

  1. 1

    Boil Fava beans in half cup water

    A picture of step 1 of Egyptian Fooul (Fava beans).
  2. 2

    Keep water if you want more soup like. Otherwise, drain as you like after it boils.

  3. 3

    After boil, keep on stove on low heat.

  4. 4

    Add in olive oil, and remainder of ingredients.

  5. 5

    Stir everything and mash Fava beans.
