Ingredients

10 servings
  • 2 lbfresh green beans
  • 1 largeonion, chopped
  • 3 eachhamhocks
  • 1 1/2 lbyukon gold potatoes, quartered
  • 1 tspgarlic powder
  • 1 tsponion powder
  • 1 tspseason salt
  • 32 ozof your favorite chicken stock.
  • 1freshly ground black pepper to taste

    Clean and trim beans

  2. 2

    Put beans in slow cooker

  3. 3

    Add chicken stock to just cover the beans.

  4. 4

    Add potatoes, onions, hamhocks, garlic and onion powder, season salt and black pepper

  5. 5

    Cover and cook on high till boiling

  6. 6

    Reduce heat to low and cook four hours or until potatoes are done.

  7. 7

    Serve in bowls with hard crusty bread.
