Great Northern Bean Soup (Crockpot) Great Northern Bean Soup (Crockpot)
I wanted a recipe for the pounds of dry beans I have in my pantry. This was originally intended to be a side dish of beans, but it ended up being full of liquid and tasted great as a soup. This can easily be made vegetarian or vegan if desired by subbing out the butter and beef base with vegetarian substitutes.Sara

Crockpot Cowboy Beans Crockpot Cowboy Beans
#CA2025 A friend brought this to one of our cookouts. Everyone loved it. You can slow cook in your crockpot or simmer on the stove. I like to use smoked brisket if I have any leftovers. Serve with tortilla chips, sour cream, jalapenos, cheese whatever suits you or eat without extras. This can be a meal by itself or a game day appetizer. cindybear -
