I like my peanut butter cookies to really taste like peanut butter, so I developed this recipe!! It's made all the better with homemade vanilla!!

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupbutter or margarine
  2. 1 cupwhite sugar
  3. 1 cupbrown sugar
  4. 1 1/2 cuppeanut butter
  5. 3 cupflour
  6. 1 tsphomemade or store bought Vanilla
  7. 2 tspbaking soda
  8. 2eggs
  9. 1 pinchsalt (optional)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 375*F(190*C).

  2. 2

    Cream together butter and sugars. Add in eggs and mix very well. Add in vanilla and mix again.

    Add peanut butter and mix to smooth!!

  4. 4

    Sift dry ingredients together and add into peanut butter mix!! Mix well and scrape bottom of bowl to make sure all flour is incorporated well!!

  5. 5

    Form small balls and place on increased baking sheet!!

    Dip a fork into flour and make cross hatch pattern on cookies!!

  7. 7

    Bake in 375* oven for 12 minutes for chewy cookies and 15-17 minutes for crispier cookies!!

    Makes about 5 dozen medium sized cookies or 6 dozen smaller cookies!!

  9. 9

    Chopped peanuts may be added if you like but not necessary!!
