Crispy Baked 5 Spice Wings
Great healthy twist on wings!
Cooking Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°

Season wings with dry spices excluding salt. Marinate for up to 48 hours.

Toss with oil. Add more seasoning if desired. Add salt.

Bake for approximately 40 minutes or until thermometer reaches 165° or until wings are caramelized and crispy to the touch.

Variations; honey, mustard, wet marinade, soy sauce, sesame oil, yogurt dipping sauce

I've been hungry for crispy wings lately but the fried version is such a mess and really not all that healthy... So I did some research and found a recipe that claims adding baking powder to the flour adds taste and crispness so I figured I'd give it a shot. I personally like adding a lot of spices to my chicken and then covering it and letting it sit in the fridge overnight it really gives it a much better flavor! so you can add more or less of all the spices. FYI for fried wings I salt them in the same way so if you want good fried ones just dip them in egg wash and then flour and fry away. Margie -

I usually chop up the wings, deep fry & toss with wet sauces. This is a diff version. Season, bake & serve. By preheating the tray & spraying with non stick spray, the wings will start to sizzle as soon as you place them on the tray & come out crispy.
