Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 1/4 cupbutter
  2. 1/4 cupAll purpose flour
  3. 3 cupChicken broth
  4. 3 cupMilk
  5. 1/2 tspWhite pepper
  6. 2 cupBroccoli florets, blanched
  7. 3 cupSharp cheddar, grated

Steps

  1. 1

    In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat butter, at the flour and reduce the heat

  2. 2

    cook for 2 minutes

  3. 3

    add the broth, milk,and pepper

  4. 4

    Bring to a boil

  5. 5

    Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes

  6. 6

    Stir in the broccoli and cheese

  7. 7

    Continue to simmer for an additional 5 minutes

  8. 8

    Serve soup at once

  9. 9

    ENJOY
