California Farm Distilled Water California Farm Distilled Water
Boiling water kills bacteria, but the water still contains all the impurities and farm chemicals from ground water and acid rain water, and wild fire retardant chemicals, a big concern of ours. This lil pure copper stovetop distiller, called an alembic, a medieval scientific instrument, makes one quart of distilled pure water per hour, it only evaporates the pure water parts to steam, cools and catches it. Pure H2O water. Never any rust, it is all copper. The distillation pan holds 4 quarts, 4 liters. It produces 1 quart, 1 liter per hour of luke warm distilled water, 3.8 liters total. Every eight minutes, the steam coil that turns steam into distilled water heats up and needs to be cooled with 2 liters of cold tapwater. By draining the heated coolwater in a bucket, we reuse, only takes one bucket, 5 gallons, 40 liters of cooling water. Hobby Horseman -

Divine Mul (Water) Kimchi Made with Water from Rinsing Rice Divine Mul (Water) Kimchi Made with Water from Rinsing Rice
Eight years ago, I had water kimchi at a sam-gyetang shop. It was refreshing and very tasty I heard that the water used to rinse rice is used...so, through trial and error, I arrived at this recipe. These days, I made it about 3 times a week .Be sure to use thick rice rinsing water. Drink up the vitamins and minerals from the rice rinsing water.Since this dish also contains lots of naturally formed lactic acid, it also tonifies your gut. Recipe by Haasan aibon cookpad.japan -

Amazake (Sweet Rice Sake) and Hassaku Icy Sherbet Amazake (Sweet Rice Sake) and Hassaku Icy Sherbet
I had a bunch of ripe hassaku growing in my backyard, but they were very sour. I couldn't wait until the sour taste would turn mild, or go through the laborious task of making marmalade. So I came up with this easy delicious recipe.I tried using the grinding bowl to retain the texture of the hassaku, but of course you can use the food processor for a smoother texture. Try not to over blend, and keep the nice texture of the pulp from the hassaku. You can use grapefruits or other citrus fruits for this recipe. Recipe by Kamoshian cookpad.japan
