In a pressure cooker heat oil. Put garlic,ginger and chillie. Saute for a min. Add chopped onions and fry till golden brown.

Put chopped tomatoes and cook till oil saperates.

Add all dry spices and mix well. Then add soaked and washed chana dal. Mix it.

Now add washed and chopped spinach (palak). Mix well and add 2 cups of water and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.

When pressure released mash little with masher or chopper.

Serve hot with rice/chapati.
