Steps

Preheat the oven at 200°C

In a bowl, whisk the butter and sugar together till light and pale

Add eggs and then vanilla essence and mix completely
- 4
Add the raisins

Sieve in the flour and baking powder into the mixture and mix till you get a slightly firm and very soft 'shape-able' dough
- 6
Roll out the dough on a flour based chapati board (just like chapatis but slightly thicker) then use the cookies cutter to make desired shapes. N/b: cookies cutters come in different shapes and sizes

Place them on a non-grease paper on an oven dish

Reduce the temperature to 180°C and bake the cookies for 12-15mins or until golden brown

Remove and put on a wire rack to cool

Serve with desired beverage
