Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupSemolina/sooji/rave
  2. Banana – 2 big
  3. 1/4 cupGrated fresh coconut
  4. 1/4 cupWarm milk
  5. 3 tbspJaggery
  6. 1/4 cupCurd
  7. 1/4 tspBaking powder
  8. 1/2 tbspGhee
  9. 1 pinchSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix milk & curd in a bowl and beat it for a while to get it evenly mixed

  2. 2

    Mash the bananas in a bowl really well, now add in all the other ingredients and curd-milk mixture to the mashed banana and mix everything nicely without any lumps

  3. 3

    Wet the idly plates and pour the batter, and steam it for 12 minutes and let it sit for 5 minutes

  4. 4

    Remove the idly from the mould and serve with fresh coconut chutney
