These sweet idlis can be had without any side dish. Makes a perfect breakfast dish or an evening snack.
Steps

Dissolve sugar in 3 tablespoon lukewarm water. Add the yeast and leave it to proof.

Grind the remaining ingredients, adding a little water, to make a thick batter. Adjust the sweetness according to taste.

After the yeast mix has started bubbling, add it to the batter and mix well.

Leave it for fermentation overnight or for 6 to 8 hours.

Mix the batter well. Grease idli moulds and scoop the batter into the moulds.

Place the moulds in the steamer after the water starts boiling. Steam for 10 minutes.

After taking out from the steamer, allow the idlis too cool down.

Demould and serve warm.
