Add the boiling water, spices, and salt. Rinse the lentils and add them as well.

Let the soup boil until the vegetables and lentils are cooked through.

Transfer the soup to a blender, add 1 tablespoon of cream cheese spread, then return the soup to the pot and cook for another 5 minutes.
