Freeze the butter for 30 minutes before assembling the crust.

Using a grater, slice the butter into a bowl and add all the dry ingredients.

Mix lightly.

Add the ice cold water and gently mix until dough sticks together (should be slightly crumbly and dry).

Form into a disc and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Remove dough from the refrigerator and roll thin (~1/4 inch). Fit dough into 9inch pie pan and return to the fridge until pie filling is assembled.

Preheat oven to 400°F.

In a mixer, combine the brown sugar and pumpkin pie filling until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients, mix well and add to pie crust.

Place pie in oven and bake at 400°F for 10 minutes. Reduce oven heat to 350°F and bake for 25-30 minutes more, or until pie edge is firm and middle is still mobile.
