Banana stem pickle is very tasty to have along rice, neeru dosa and chapatis. It's good to health also.
Steps

Peel off the stem till you obtain the tender inner core which cannot be peeled further.

Do thin slices by removing the lots of fiber using your fingers and chop in to small pieces.

Add salt and keep aside for 10 minutes.

Fry mustard seed, chilli, fenugreek seeds by adding 1 tsp cooking oil.

When the good aroma comes switch off, then add asafoetida and turmeric powder, saute it.

Let it be cool.

Now grind it smooth powder.

Mix it up with banana stem.

Add lemon juice.

Mix well and serve.
