Poha

Poha or pohe is a quick breakfast or snack food made of beaten rice or flattened rice from the Maharashtrian and Gujarati cuisines. Poha is made using beaten rice, onions, peanuts and green chilies. It is usually eaten on it's own along with a cup of tea or coffee.

Steps

Heat oil in kadhai, splutter mustard seeds when seeds stop spluttering add curry leaves, green chilies and saute for 30seconds.

Add peanuts and cook for minute on low medium flame.

Add onion and saute till it transparent.

Add turmeric powder and salt, mix it.
In between take strainer wash poha in running water and add it in kadhai and keep mixing. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes. - 5
Add sugar and mix it.

Pour lemon juice and mix it.

Poha is ready to serve.
