  • 2 cupflour
  • 2 tspbaking soda
  • 1 tspGinger
  • 1 tspcloves
  • 1 tspCinnamon
  • 3/4 cupShortening
  • 1/4 cupMolasses
  • 1Egg

Steps

  1. 1

    Sift dry ingredients and set aside

  2. 2

    Cream shortening sugar egg and molasses

  3. 3

    Mix well

  4. 4

    Add flour mixture and mix until smooth

  5. 5

    Roll into walnut sized balls

  6. 6

    roll in sugar

  7. 7

    bake at 350` 10-12 minutes
