Ingredients

14 servings

4 cupmed ground onion
4 cupmed cabbage head
4 cupgreen tomatos (about 10)
12green peppers
6red sweet peppers
1/2 cupsalt
6 cupsugar
1 tspcelery seed
2 tbspmustard seed
1 1/2 tsptumeric
4 cupcider vinegar
2 cupwater

Steps

Mix onion, cabbage, tomatos, peppers, and salt. Let sit over night.

Rinse and drain (squeeze out) mixture. Put into large pan.

Add all other ingredients to pan. Heat to just boiling.

Simmer 3 min. Seal in hot jars.

Makes about 14 pints. Takes 2 days to prepare.

This recipe was in a Grange cookbook from the 60s. A very good recipe!
