Ingredients

  1. Charred Beef
  2. 1 1/2 lbbeef tenderloin, thinly sliced
  3. 1/4 lbportobello mushrooms, chunked
  4. 1/2green bell pepper, chunked
  5. 1/2red bell pepper, chunked
  6. 1/2yellow onion, chunked
  7. 1dried red chilli pepper
  8. 1/2 tspgarlic, minced
  9. Marinade
  10. 1 tbspsoy sauce
  11. 2 tbspsugar
  12. 3 tbspoyster sauce
  13. 2 tspsesame oil
  14. 4 tbspwater
  15. Kung Pao Sauce
  16. 3 tbspsoy sauce
  17. 1 tsphoisin sauce
  18. 1 tspoyster sauce
  19. 1 tspketchup
  20. 2 tbspsugar
  21. 1/2 tspgranulated garlic
  22. 1/2 tspwhite pepper
  23. 3 tbspwater

Cooking Instructions

    Mix all ingredients for Marinade and set aside

  2. 2

    Mix all ingredients for Kung Pao Sauce and set aside

  3. 3

    Thinly slice beef filet and add marinade. Marinate for 1 hour

  4. 4

    Heat sesame oil in a very hot wok. Cook peppers and onions

  5. 5

    Remove the cooked peppers and onions from the wok and set aside

  6. 6

    Add a little more sesame oil and cook mushrooms. When the mushrooms are half way through cooking add the garlic and dried chilli pepper

  7. 7

    When the mushrooms are cooked return the peppers and onions, and add half of the Kung Pao Sauce. Remove vegetables from wok and set aside to keep warm

    Working in batches cook the beef

  9. 9

    When all the beef is cooked return it to the wok, and add the remaining half of the Kung Pao Sauce

  10. 10

    Return the vegetables to the wok and heat everything through
