Ingredients

  1. khaman mix
  2. 1 cupBesan (chickpea flour)
  3. 3 tspRava (Semolina)
  4. 8 tspsugar
  5. 1 tspsalt
  6. 2 tbsplemon juice
  7. 1 tspgreen chilli paste or to taste
  8. 1 cupwater
  9. 1 1/2 tspEno fruit salt
  10. for finish
  11. 1 tbspoil
  12. 2 tspmustard seed
  13. 1 tspsesame seed
  14. 1 tbspgrated fresh coconut
  15. 1 tbspFresh Coriander finely chopped

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix all the ingredients save Eno fruit salt.

  2. 2

    In your khamen steamer pour water and bring to boil.

  3. 3

    Lightly oil your top thali.

  4. 4

    Quickly mix the Eno fruit salt and pour the batter in the thali.

  5. 5

    Steam cook it for 20 to 25 minutes. Once it's cook let it rest for 10 minutes.

  6. 6

    In a pan take oil heat till it's smoking. Add mustard seed,sesame seed till they pop.pour this on the khaman.

  7. 7

    Cut it into squares.Sprinkle with grated coconut and fresh coriander. Serve with any chutney you like.
