Hot Dog & Bacon Fried Rice

One of those makedowithwhatchagot meals (and pretty stinkin' tasty if I do say so myself!). ;)
Slightly dry rice makes better fried rice, so you can either use some leftover rice from another day (or from takeout), or if you're going to make fresh rice, just use slightly less water than usual and spread it out on a sheet pan to let it cool while you're prepping your ingredients.

Steps
- 1
Preheat large nonstick pan or wok to medium high and render bacon until the fat becomes translucent.
- 2
Add onion and garlic and saute until onions become translucent.
- 3
Add butter and let it melt.
- 4
Add hot dogs and saute for a minute or two to let the hot dogs warm through.
- 5
Add soy sauce and ketchup and stir to incorporate.
- 6
Add rice, mix in thoroughly and let it warm through for 2 to 3 minutes, folding occasionally.
- 7
Add chopped green onions, fold in, and also adjust for saltiness. If you'd like to add a touch more soy sauce, you can do that, or just add some salt a little bit at a time.
Continue cooking for another 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.

That's it. Enjoy!
