In a cup of warm water, mix half the sugar and the yeast. Stir well and let it sit until it becomes frothy.

Meanwhile, add the remaining sugar, salt, baking powder, anise seeds, oil, powdered milk, and yogurt to the flour.

Once the yeast mixture is ready, add it to the flour mixture. Gradually add warm water and knead well for at least 10 minutes until you have a soft, smooth, non-sticky dough.

Let the dough rise in a warm place until it doubles in size.

Shape the dough as desired (for example, into croissant shapes), fill with cheese, and brush the tops with beaten egg.

Shape as you like and bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) until golden brown.
