Ingredients

  1. Soup base
  2. 1Milk Fish (Bangus) - belly portion "boneless"
  3. 3Ginger (3 fingers) - crushed
  4. 2Tomato - cut in quarters or eights
  5. 1 bunchGreen onion - chopped
  6. 1 mediumOnion - chopped or sliced
  7. 1Patis - 3-4 ladles
  8. 14-5 pcs Calamansi fruit or Tamarind soup base mix. Add to taste.
  9. Vegetables
  10. 1 bunchKamote (Sweet Potato Leaves)
  11. 1White radish (Daikon) - sliced
  12. Optional Vegetables
  13. 1Eggplant
  14. 1 bunchOng Choy
  15. 1 bunchOkra

Steps

  1. 1

    Fill stock pot half way with water. (About 3 quarts)

  2. 2

    Add vegetable ingredients of soup base and bring water to a boil.

  3. 3

    Add about 3-4 ladle full of Patis. Or to taste before adding fish.

  4. 4

    Add fish and boil for another 3 minutes or until fish is cooked (meat turns white).

  5. 5

    Add calamansi juice or tamarind soup mix.

  6. 6

    Add more Patis to taste.

  7. 7

    Add Kamote and radish.
