Rinse potatoes under cold water. Then put in a pot of water as you would do with boiling potatoes.

After the potatoes get soft drain water and then break into chunks.

Add butter mix until the butter dissolve and then add sour cream mixed until creamy consistency. Add green onions or whatever other toppings and enjoy.
