Spicy Crabbed Mussel

NOTE: THIS IS A VERY BASIC RECIPE! you can change and add whatever you want. I was taught how to make this at a young age and it has always been my family's favorite and mine.
Spicy Crabbed Mussel
NOTE: THIS IS A VERY BASIC RECIPE! you can change and add whatever you want. I was taught how to make this at a young age and it has always been my family's favorite and mine.
Steps
- 1
Preheat your oven to 350-375. Finely chop the Imitation Crab meat and place in a bowl.
- 2
To that bowl, add your Mayonnaise, Siracha, Salt and Pepper and any of the optional ingredients. FOLD the ingredients together until thoroughly mixed. The mixture should be thick and one color, if you feel you need more Crab Meat just chop and add more. Same goes for spiciness: want a stronger kick? Add more Siracha.
- 3
Now the Mussels should be cleaned and shucked. Place the mussels back on the shells (mainly for presentation and ease of eating). Then place Mussels (with shell) on to a cooking sheet.
- 4
Now scoop the immitation crab mix onto the mussels, caking it up. THE MORE THE MERRIER!
- 5
Place tray in the oven and let bake for 25-35 minutes or until crispy.
- 6
When its done, please make sure you let it cool down for 5-10 minutes before trying to eat. The shells remain hot for some time. ENJOY....
