Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.

Add onions and cook until soft, about 5 minutes

Add garlic and chili flakes; cook 1 minute

Add tomatoes amd increase heat to high and cook.

Stirring occasionally until thickened,about 20 minutes.

Lastly stir in basil and season with salt & pepper to tast.
