Apple and cinnamon cupcakes

preheat oven to 200°C

Sift 4 oz. self raising flour into a mixing bowl

Add the 4 oz. sugar and 4 oz. margarine

add 2 large eggs
- 5
stir the mixture to get all the flour off the outside of the bow and vaguely creamy
- 6
Whisk the ingredients to allow air to get into the folds so the cakes will rise further

peel and core the apple
- 8
chop up the apple into small pieces
- 9
add the apple pieces to the mixture and stir
- 10
add the cinnamon and stir again

put cupcake cases into a tray and then spoon the mixture into each one evenly (at least 12)

Put the tray into the oven and let the cakes cook for about 15-20 minutes

when out of the oven, leave them to cool down
- 14
create the buttercream icing how you wish and top the cakes with it using either a piping bag or a knife to spread it

add decorations as you will. maybe try a festive decoration at Christmas or a heart on each one for valentines day
