Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1 cupchicken peas (soaked overnight)
  2. 2onions (chopped)
  3. 1 tablespoonginger garlic paste
  4. 1tomato (pureed)
  5. 1 tablespoonjeera powder
  6. 1.5 tablespoondhaniya Powder
  7. 1 teaspoonred chilli powder
  8. 1/2 tea spoonturmeric powder
  9. 3-4 clovesgarlic chopped
  10. 1 teaspoonwhole jeera
  11. 1bay leaf
  12. 1whole dry red chill
  13. 2 podscardamom
  14. 2florets of clove
  15. 1small stick of cinnamon
  16. To tastesalt and sugar
  17. 1 tablespoonchole masala
  18. As neededoil
  19. As neededwater for boilng

Steps

  1. 1

    Boil the chick peas adding salt turmeric powder some chopped onions and garlic in a pressure cooker.

  2. 2

    Heat a pan add oil and tamper the whole jeera garam masala bay leaf and red chilli

  3. 3

    Add onions and saute well till the raw smell goes

  4. 4

    Add the ginger garlic paste saute well adding salt and turmeric powder

  5. 5

    Add jeera dhaniya powder and mix well

  6. 6

    Add the tomato puree and red chilli Powder and mix well

  7. 7

    Now add the boiled chick peas and combine the ingredients.

  8. 8

    Finally add water and sugar and cover for a while

  9. 9

    Add chole masala and switch off the heat.

  10. 10

    Serve it with bhature or naan
