Ingredients

25-30 minutes
4-5servings
  • For preparing soya chunks:--
  • 1.1/2 cup mini soya chunks
  • 3 tspCornstarch
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1/2 tspRed chilli powder
  • 1 tspGinger garlic paste
  • Water for boiling the soya chunks
  • For making the soya chilli sauce:--
  • 1/2 cupspring onion white chopped
  • 1/2 cupspring onion green chopped
  • 1/2 tspgrated ginger
  • 2 tspchopped garlic
  • 2split lengthwise green chilies
  • 2small onion halved and layers separated
  • 1/2 cupcapsicum chopped
  • 1/2 tspwhite vinegar
  • 1 tspRed chilli sauce
  • 1 tspLight soya souce
  • 1-2 tsptomato ketchup
  • 1 tspCornstarch slurry
  • to tasteSalt

Steps

25-30 minutes
  1. 1

    First of all,boil soya chunks in enough water for 10 minutes.

  2. 2

    Drain the soya chunks. Refresh it with lots of fresh water, Squeeze it to get rid of the excess water.

  3. 3

    Now marinade the soya chunks by adding to it the cornstarch,salt,Red chilli powder and crushed ginger garlic mix well.

  4. 4

    Heat a deep non-stick pan or wok. Add the marinated soya chunks and saute for medium heat for a minute while stirring constantly. Then saute on low heat for 5 minutes.

    Let the soya chunks get some golden colour and become slightly crispy,take them out in a bowl.

  6. 6

    In a same pan toss the spring onion ginger garlic, add the capsicum,Oniona layers and green chilies.

  7. 7

    Add the light soya souce,white vinegar,tomato ketchup and red chilli sauce mix well.

  8. 8

    Add salt and cornstarch slurry and bring it to a boil.

  9. 9

    Soya chilli sauce looks glossy,Add the soya chunks in the sauce and toss them well.

  10. 10

    Garnish with spring onion green and chopped coriander give it a final toss serve hot with rice and chapaties
