Ingredients

  • 2 lbPenne pasta
  • 2 tbspOlive oil
  • 2 tbspButter
  • 1 mediumonion
  • 3 cloveGarlic
  • 1 tbspBasil
  • 1 tbspOregano
  • 4 canPetite diced tomatoes
  • 1 lbHam
  • 1 cupHeavy cream
  • 3/4 cupVodka
  • 3/4 cupParmesan cheese

Steps

  1. 1

    Chop onion and garlic

  2. 2

    Melt olive oil and butter in a pot

  3. 3

    Add garlic and onion, sautée until soft

  4. 4

    Add oregano and basil

  5. 5

    Stir in tomatoes and ham

  6. 6

    Simmer as long as possible to reduce juice

  7. 7

    Add vodka, simmer to reduce juice

  8. 8

    Add heavy cream until a soft pink

  9. 9

    Simmer to reduce juice

  10. 10

    Add grated Parmesan cheese to thicken

  11. 11

    Serve with bread and shredded Parmesan cheese
