This is how I do my flat bread aka chapati
Steps

In a bowl put flour and add salt and sugar. Add 1 cup of warm water. Mix the flour and water to form a thick paste. Add more flour to make it more thick but not hard and knead on a flat surface dusted with extra flour. Apply 2 tbsp of oil to the dough and cover for 30min to rest. Divide your dough into small balls. Roll each ball with a rolling pin into circular flat bread adding flour where necessary to avoid sticking. Heat oil in a pan and fry each chapati both sides until are done. Serve as

Desired. (I served mine with some coated chicken and peanut soup 😊)
