Lotus stem fritters

Steps

Peel the lotus stem and cut into long ovaly shaped.

Now wash it properly.

Now for batter, take a mixing bowl and add besan, salt, red chilli powder, hing and ajwaiin.

Mix it by adding water and make a smooth batter without any lumps.

The consistency of the batter should not be runny.

Now heat the oil.

Dip the lotus stem slices into the batter and drop it in the heated oil.

Deep fry them from both the sides.

Remove it from the oil when it starts turning brown on the absorbent paper.

Serve hot lotus stem fritters with green chutney.
