Ingredients

  1. 1 cupurad daal
  2. 1 cupPowdered Jaggery
  3. 11 /2water
  4. 1/2 tspCardamom Powder
  5. 1/4 cupOil
  6. 1/4 tbspsalt

  1. 1

    Soak the urad dal for 4 hours.

  2. 2

    Drain and grind the urad dal into a smooth paste with little water and add salt.Set aside.

  3. 3

    Heat little water in a vessel, add the jaggery and cardamom powder to it.

  4. 4

    Allow the jaggery to melt and cook until the syrup is sticky.

  5. 5

    Switch off the flame and set aside.

  6. 6

    Heat oil for deep frying.

  7. 7

    Apply little oil or water on palm and take lemon size ball of urad batter and flatten them a little.

  8. 8

    Deep fry them in hot oil till crisp and golden colour.

  9. 9

    Remove from the oil and put them into jaggery syrup.

  10. 10

    Soak the vadas in syrup for 5 minutes.

  11. 11

    Take them out of the syrup and serve.

  12. 12

    Thats all very yummy jaggery vada's r ready.
