  1. 2 cupWhole dried milk / mawa
  2. 1 cupCottage cheese / paneer
  3. 2 tbspAll purpose flour / maida
  4. 4 tbspMilk
  5. 1 tbspClarified butter / ghee
  6. 1 cupSugar
  7. 1.1/2 cupWater
  8. 1/4 tspCardamom powder
  9. 1 pinchBaking powder
  10. Oil - for frying

    Grate the mawa /whole dried milk and cottage cheese / paneer and mix well.

    We mash the cottage cheese / paneer and mawa /whole dried milk very well and make a soft and smooth dough.

    Add all purpose flour / maida,baking powder,milk and clarified butter/ghee and mix well.

    Divide the dough in equal size balls

    Roll each balls between your palms.

  6. 6

    All the balls are made in the same way

  7. 7

    Heat enough oil in a pan for deep frying.

  8. 8

    Fry the gulab jamun on low heat till golden brown.

  9. 9

    Drain in paper napkin.

  10. 10

    Again heat the pan.

  11. 11

    Add sugar and water till sugar dissolves

  12. 12

    Keep it medium flame for 8 - 10 mins.

  13. 13

    When it gets stick it means syrup is ready add cardamom powder.

    Place the gulab jamun in the sugar syrup.

  15. 15

    Serve after two hours.
