Ingredients

1 hr total
8 servings
  1. 1x 9" pie crust
  2. Pie filling:
  3. 3/4 cupsugar
  4. 2tblsp all purpose flour
  5. 1/8tspn salt
  6. 1 cupsour cream
  7. 1/2tspn vanilla extract
  8. 1egg
  9. 2 cupsapple peeled & chopped (Granny Smith or similar)
  10. Topping:
  11. 1/4 cupsugar
  12. 1/3 cupflour
  13. 1tspn cinnamon
  14. 1/4 cupcold butter cut into small pieces

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 425°.

  2. 2

    Mix all of the pie filling ingredients (except the apple) in a medium-large bowl. Then mix the apple in.

  3. 3

    Pour the pie filling into the pie shell.

  4. 4

    Bake at 425° for 15 minutes.

  5. 5

    Then turn down the oven to 350° & continue baking for 30 minutes.

  6. 6

    Right before the 30 minutes expires, mix the topping ingredients together in a small bowl.

  7. 7

    Add the topping and bake another 15 minutes.

  8. 8

    Can be served warm or at room temp. Store in the refrigerator. It's really good cold the next day. 😊
