Fried mashed Potatoes

Potato can be cooked in multiple ways, be it be a Indian preparation or a continental dish. When you don't have enough time to cook something with lots of variations let it be simple with some small innovations. This preparation is widely consumed in day-to-day meals with any kind of pulses and is commonly known as "aalu'r chokha" in Bengali.

Heat some oil in a wok and fry the red chillies and keep it aside.

In the same oil, add the chopped onions and fry till golden brown.

Mix some salt in the mashed potato and add the mixture in the wok.

Saute it very well for a while.

Grind the red chillies with the help of your fingers and add it in the wok as well.

Mix it very well and fry the mixture very well in the medium flame.

Remove it from the flame and serve hot with steamed rice and daal(pulses).
