Wash and soak 2cups of rice for at least 2hours.

Then add in your ginger,onions,cooked rice and blend. U can use half of the cooked rice now and use the remaining one after blending it or use everything at once.

Now mix in your yeast,stir it very well and keep it in a warm place, let it rise for at least 1 hour.

After your batter rises add the baking powder,sugar,salt and water to the mixture. you can now add the remaining cooked rice.

Let the consistency be a bit watery like a youghout drink.

Spoon little oil into each section of the tanda and shallow fry. when done turn to the other side. that's all your masa is ready. u can serve with any soup of ur choice.
