Ingredients

30-45 minutes
  • 1Cauliflower
  • 100 gPotato (cut in 4 pieces)
  • 1big size Tomato (Puree)
  • 75 mlMustard Oil
  • 1 tablespoonCumin Powder
  • 1 tablespoonCoriander Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoonKashmiri Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoonGaram Masala Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoonTurmeric Powder
  • To tasteSalt
  • 2 teaspoonGinger and Green Chilli Paste
  • 1 teaspoonSugar
  • 2 tablespoonchopped Coriander Leaves
  • 2Bay leaf
  • 1/2 teaspoonCumin Seeds

Steps

30-45 minutes

    Cut the cauliflower in small pieces and boil them in a vessel. Strain the water out. Keep it aside.

    Take the cumin, coriander, turmeric, Kashmiri Red chilli, sugar and soak all of them together in Lukewarm water in a small container.

    Use half the oil (pour in a vessel), and put the cauliflower into it and fry the contents till they are golden brown. Keep it aside. Pour the rest of the oil onto the vessel and heat it, then add cumin seeds and Bayleaf onto it. Add the potatoes onto it and fry them till golden brown. Then add salt and puree in it. Stir for two minutes. Then add ginger and chilli paste. Stir for a few seconds. Add the Masala (soaked in warm water) to it. Stir for a few seconds. Turn the flame to seam.

    Cover the vessel till the potatoes go soft. Add the cauliflower to it, still well and add 1 cup of warm water to it. After 10-15 mins, when the gravy becomes thick, add coriander leaves and serve it.
