Ingredients

  • 1 cupWhite chana
  • 1 tbspn+moreGinger, julienned 1 tbspn + more for garnishing
  • 4-5Green chilli sliced
  • 2Onion chopped medium
  • 3/4 cupTomato pureee
  • 1 tbspnTurmeric powder, coriander powder
  • 2 tbspnChana masala
  • 2 tbspnOil
  • to tasteSalt
  • For bhature:
  • 1/2 cupFlour
  • 1/2 cupSuji
  • 2-3 tbspnOil
  • 1/2 cupNatural yogurt
  • to tasteSalt
  • as neededWarm water

Steps

  1. 1

    Pressure cook the chanawith water,salt,and whole spices for 4 whistle on high heat

  2. 2

    Heat 2 tbspn oil in a pan,add a cumin seed and the turmeric powder

  3. 3

    When the seed crackle,add ginger add saute for a minute

  4. 4

    Add onion and saute till the onion is golden brown

  5. 5

    Add tomato puree and mix well

  6. 6

    Add chanaa masala,coriander powder,and green chillies

  7. 7

    Mix well and cook for 5-6 minutes

  8. 8

    Combine the flour,salt,oil,sugar,baking powder and mix well

  9. 9

    Add yogurt and mix well

  10. 10

    Apply little oil

  11. 11

    Divide into6-8 equal portions

  12. 12

    Heat oil in a pan.

  13. 13

    Deep fry till the bhaturaa puff up and both sides slightly golden brown in colour.
