6 dlshort grain rice (Japanese rice)
9 dlwater

Steps

1

Pour all the rice in a big bowl and fill the bowl with water.
2

Wash the rice by rubbing it between your hands and knead it around in the bowl. Pour the water out by holding your hand at the bottom of the bowl and repeat the washing two more times.
3

Pour the water in the bowl with the washed rice and let it stand for 20-30 minutes.
4

Cool the rice with the water in a rice cooker.
