Ingredients

  • 1 cupSplit mung beans
  • 1 cupGreen pea (used frozen)
  • 2Tomato
  • 1/2 tspBasil powder
  • 1-2Bay leaf
  • 1/2 tspBlack pepper powder
  • 1 tspCumin and coriander powder
  • 1/2 tspTurmeric powder
  • 1 tspRed chilli powder
  • 1 tspMustard and cumin seeds
  • 1 pinchAsafoetida
  • 2 tspOil
  • Salt as per taste

Steps

  1. 1

    In pan take oil give tadka of seeds and bay leaf, now sprinkle asafoetida, pepper, chilli and turmeric powder

  2. 2

    Now add chopped tomato and remaining spices

  3. 3

    Now add pea’s and mung dal. Stir well. Now add little water. Cover with lid. Cook till dal is soft.
