Cut cassava into at least 3inch length, halve the pieces to remove centre root.

In a sufuria put cassava pieces, salt and water. Let it simmer on low till cassava is halfway cooked. Drain water and add sugar, cardamon and enough coconut milk to cover the cassava (or 3/4 way)

Mix well, allow to simmer on medium low. Stir once in a while until cassava is cooked. Serve hot
