Steps

Wash and soak the rice for atleast 30 min.

Heat ghee or oil in a pot or cooker. Add jeera, onion and potato and fry until golden.

Then add the ginger garlic paste, salt, haldi and masala.next add peas and rice. Saute for 3-4 mins. You can also add more vegetables.

Pour water and stir well.cook on a medium heat until the water is almost absorbed. If using pressure cooker, cover the lid and cook on a low heat for 5 mins.

Fluff up with a fork once done. Allow to rest for sometime.

Serve with raita or a gravy.
