Cooking Instructions

Peel off and discard a few of the thin outer layers of the cabbage. Halve it through the core and Cut each half into quarters, then cut out the tough core in the middle. Slice each quarter crosswise into thin shreds. Soak the cabbage in a bowl with salt and water

Wash the carrots, then shred them into very small pieces with a grater.

When the cabbage is soft, drain and sieve

Mix the carrots and cabbage in a tray
- 5
Scoop a moderate quantity and mix with mayonnaise before serving

I get asked all the time "how do you make your coleslaw?" I always say I just throw some ingredients together until it tastes right... and that's what I really did. Well I finally took the time to measure and actually write it down. This is how I make mine, but you can adjust any of the ingredients to your own taste preference.Make sure you make the dressing separately and it tastes right before you mix it in with your veggies.
