Peel the carrot and potatoes and cut into small sizes and set aside.

Get a dry pot and put it over a low heat then add little veg oil when it heat up, add the chopped onions and stir fry, add garlic if any, add thyme (I normally fry the thyme bcos of the overwhelming nature).

Add the minced meat, stir from time to time to, (if the minced meat changes to brown colour, it is done, add enough water, wash the diced carrot and potatoes and add to the cooking minced meat. Add dry pepper, salt, seasoning cubes and curry, taste if the seasoning needs adjustment, cover the pot and allow the carrot and potatoes to cook.

Mix the thickener(corn flour) with little water and set aside. Check if the carrot and potatoes has cooked. Add the thickener to the cooking sauce while you stir simultaneously to avoid the sauce having lumps. Mix it very well and turn off the heat.

Turn it immediately in a tray and allow it to cool very well before using it for pie.
