Ingredients

4 servings
  • Pork shoulder / neck meat
  • Marinade Ingredients
  • 4 tbspflour
  • 2 tbspcorn flour
  • 1 tspbaking powder
  • 2eggs beaten
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1/4 tsppepper
  • Toppings and Sauce
  • 1/2onion cut into small piece
  • 1green bell pepper
  • 1red bell pepper
  • 1tomato dized
  • Minced ginger
  • Minced garlic
  • 2 stalksspring onion
  • 1 tbspsoy sauce
  • 1 tbspoyster sauce
  • 3 tbsptomato ketchup
  • 1 tbspvinegar / pineapple juice
  • 1 tbspWorcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbspShaoxing wine
  • 1 tspplum sauce
  • 1/2 tspsesame oil
  • 1/2 cupwater
  • 2 tspbrown sugar

Steps

  1. 1

    Marinate pork shoulder with some pinch of salt and white pepper in a mixing bowl. Prepare crispy fry batter with all flour mixtures. Coat meat with a layer of flour and coat second layer with beaten egg and lastly coat anothet layer of flour. Fry the coated meat until golden brown and set aside.

  2. 2

    Stir fry minced garlic and ginger until aroma. Add in bell pepper, sitr fry a while and add in onions and add in wine and will cause some flame. Add in sauce mixture with 1/2 cup of water and let it boil. Add cornstarch solution to thicken sauce.

  3. 3

    Turn of the stove fire and immediately add in the meat and toss for a little to have the sauce coated lightly and serve.

I have been cooking for 10 years mainly in Chinese cuisine. My cooking gears are some simple carbon steel wok, cast iron pot, marble pot, steamer, pressure cooker and air fryer. Most ingredients are common seafood, meat, poultry, herbs and spices can be found in local markets.
