Ingredients

20 minutes
2 servings
  • 2 cupsBasmati rice/ jeerakashala rice rinsed
  • 4-5 tablespoonsGhee
  • Whole spices
  • 2Cardamom
  • 3 to 4Cloves
  • 6-7Pepper corns -
  • 1 small stickCinnamon
  • Big onion thinly sliced and golden fried for garnish
  • Cashews roasted in ghee for garnish
  • Raisins roasted in ghee for garnish
  • 4 cupsWater
  • as neededSalt

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Soak the rice for 5 minutes and then drain and keep it

  2. 2

    In a cooking pot add 3 tablespoon ghee and add whole spice in medium heat

  3. 3

    And then add rice and sauté well

  4. 4

    After 5 to 8 minutes add water and required salt close the lid and keep it on medium low heat

  5. 5

    And let the rice cook

  6. 6

    In between check whether the water is absorbed

  7. 7

    Once the water is absorbed add fried big onions, roasted cashews and raisins and add remaining ghee and close the lid for 8 to 10 minutes in very low heat

  8. 8

    Now the rice is ready to serve
