Great winter dish, I did this on Christmas Day, I looked up a few recipes but ended up making my own up using inspiration from all the recipes I read.

Great winter dish, I did this on Christmas Day, I looked up a few recipes but ended up making my own up using inspiration from all the recipes I read.

Finely slice cabbage and onion

Add liquids to saucepan with cabbage and bring to boil
- 3
Then reduce to a simmer, add all other ingredients except the marmalade or cranberry, cover with lid and simmer for about 40 minutes.

Make sure you check fluid levels and stir frequently adding more liquid if necessary however this is a dry dish so any excess liquid at the end pour away.

When the cabbage is soft and liquid practically gone, take off heat, pour remaining liquid away, allow to cool and stir in cranberry/ marmalade at the end

You can modify the quantity’s of ingredients or add extra throughout the cooking process according to taste.
